Third grade social studies introduce
students to the concept of their society and different communities. This is
accomplished through a focus on a broad historical overview of human history
and a specific view of local and community practices and responsibilities.
Third grade social studies combine lessons from world history, geography,
political science and economics. Classroom activities include obtaining and
organizing information, discussing and analyzing current and community events
and participating in fun related activities. Test given to challenge your knowledge
of states, capitals and bodies of water to students gives them a outlook on
life, because it is more to the world besides the state they reside in.
